Description

The SFS Tank Bund Alarm is an entry-level, battery-operated bunded fuel tank alarm. Designed to alert of the presence of any liquid between the inner tank and outer bund.

The purpose is to detect and provide local alerts if the integrity of the inner tank has ruptured and is leaking, or if there is excess rainwater within the bund area. This will help prevent an environmental impact if any fuel was to be lost into the external environment.

This is a simple and cost-effective solution. In alarm state, a red LED will flash, and a 108db alarm will sound to warn the user that the tank's bund needs to be checked for any leaks and excess liquid.

This local Bund alarm will come in a weatherproof enclosure, featuring a soft test button that will activate the sounder to check the battery and mute to silence the sounder. Due to its simple operation, the battery will last excess of 7 days in full alarm mode, and up to 2 years when on standby, making it ideal for sites that are not always manned.

Operating Manual

Sound Alarm / Buzzer

On the front panel, there are 2 LEDs for visual indication and a touch button for test and hush functionality. There is a buzzer to sound an alarm when the device detects a leak, level, or failure/disconnection of a float switch.

LED Indicators

Normal operation — the device is in standby mode with no LEDs flashing and no buzzer sounds. Leak detected — the top LED will flash every 1 second together with the buzzer sound. Touch the button for 2 seconds to hush the buzzer; the LED will continue to operate.

Low Battery

In low battery state the bottom LED will flash every 5 seconds, together with the buzzer sound. The battery should be replaced as soon as possible. Touching the button for 2 seconds will hush the buzzer but LED will continue to operate.

Testing

When the touch button is held, the unit will go to test mode. In this mode both LEDs will flash, and the buzzer will sound every 1 second to confirm correct functionality.
